1. Main Project – A Chance for Every Child
Purpose of the project.
To strengthen the capacity of civil society and local community to uphold their rights, address their problems and take advantage of their opportunbities by
- holding politicians and authorities accountable
- strengthening local networks and cooperation
- strengthening links between local civil society and other relevant CSO:s
- taking and implementing own initiatives
Focus of the project.
To secure every child’s right to good education – also vulnerable children with special needs.
General design of the project.
The project will include two pilot studies, each centered around one school. It will be carried out in cooperation with the school with students, teachers and other staff, relevant authorities and other institutions in the neigbourhood, schoolchildren’s families/caretakers, local politicians and local civil society. Political structures, authorities and CSO:s on national and regional level will also be involved as appropriate. The project should be carried out with a few professionals and many volunteers, getting some cost coverage. The process should be activity-oriented so that findings, experiences and ideas generated by the process can inspire action during the course of the program.
